The Galway County Fleadh will take place this year in Claregalway, Co. Galway from the 17th - 19th of May 2024. Excitement is high for the influx of music, song, dance, craic and visitors to the Dunmore region for the weekend. It is the first time Lackagh Comhaltas have hosted a County Fleadh and they very much look forward to welcoming everyone to Claregalway.


Saturday will see the start to the weekend of competitions, which will be held in Coláiste Bhaile Chláir. Over 1500 competitors will compete over the two days with the hopes of securing a qualifying position to the regional fleadh – Connacht Fleadh 2024 to be held in Strokestown.

Sunday will see competitors take part in the Under 18 and Over 18 ages groups, as well as dancing. Throughout both days a large entry is expected for Grupaí Cheoil and Ceilí Band competitions in all ages. 18 Branches from all over County Galway will have participants in the competitions and this will in turn bring a large number of visitors to the Claregalway region for the weekend.

The competitions are open to the public to attend and all are encouraged to hear and see the great talented performers.

Throughout the weekend their will be music sessions in the various venues and all are most welcome.
